Let it Snow , Let it Snow, Let it Snow ...

You all know the song, 'Frosty the Snowman' right?  remember the part that goes "In the winter we can build a snowman"...well we built one and all thats left showing is his head!  Does that give you an idea of just how much snow we have???
This icicle hangs outside Dustin and Corey's bedroom and just keeps growing larger and larger.

We had very blizzard like conditions today, the wind was blowing the snow in every direction, it was quite amazing to see.  It seems some days all it does is snow, or if it isn't snowing, (because the snow never really melts,) we just marvel at  the beauty of seeing everything white and sparkly.  Don't get me wrong, we LOVE the snow, and no we're not even close to being sick of it yet, in fact, quite the opposite.  If it doesn't snow for a couple of days, I  feel like 'oh no, is this the end of winter,  is it not going to snow anymore?' and then low and behold...it snows again :) Winters we're learning are loooong up here, something we're not used to at all.  It really is awesome to wake up and see that nothing has changed from the day before (just maybe more snow).  I'm used to seeing the rain wash it all away within a day or so.

my handsome son, doing his schoolwork :)

My beautiful Kassidy wearing a skirt made by Grandma.

Sweet Corey, I don't think his face can smile any bigger! He's proudly showing his paintings :)

I am loving this slower paced life...we have been blessed for such a time as this.  We are working at being wise with our time, spending more time studying the word of God as a family, keeping our hands busy, not being idle, and really enjoying each other.

    2 Peter 3: 18

but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

It was snowing in this picture which is why it seems darker, but can you see the snowmans head back beside the barn?
